Higher education management platform

UNVPortal: laboratory, examination and quality management on one platform

UNVPortal is a browser-based modular management platform for universities and higher education institutions. It runs laboratory operations, examination processes, and quality and accreditation work on the same database. Three modules are in production: Labs (laboratory management), Exams (examination management) and Quality (quality management); Connect and Intelligence are in preparation. Unit, staff, course and permission definitions are entered once, and all three modules read from the same record.

What is a university management platform?

A university management platform is modular software that runs a higher education institution's academic operations, such as laboratories, examinations, quality and accreditation, on a single database. The unit tree, staff, course and permission definitions are entered once; every module reads the same record, and the same information is not entered twice. UNVPortal is a university management platform of this kind, working through its Labs, Exams and Quality modules.

Modules in production

Each module can be deployed on its own. The links below go to pages that describe in detail what each module does.

Modules in preparation

UNVPortal Connect

Connects to the institution's central identity system, student information system, electronic document management and HR system. Includes a connector catalogue and a synchronisation monitoring screen.

UNVPortal Intelligence

Document analysis and OCR, comparison of changes in standards texts, draft report suggestions. Designed to work alongside the Quality module.

What a single database means in practice

In universities, laboratory, examination and quality work usually runs in three separate applications or three separate spreadsheets. The same lecturer is defined in three places, the same course code is written three different ways, and evidence for the quality report is collected piece by piece.

In UNVPortal, the unit tree, staff records, course and programme definitions and permissions are held in one place. When the Quality module asks for a piece of evidence, it links directly to the instrument usage report kept in the laboratory or to the programme outcome result calculated in the Exams module. When reporting time comes, there is nothing left to collect.

Deployment, data and access

AccessThrough the browser. No separate software to install.
HostingA cloud deployment managed by Erimworks, or the institution's own server.
Data separationEach institution is a separate tenant record; institutions cannot see each other's data.
LanguageTurkish and English interface.
LicenceEnterprise quote based on user count and selected modules.

Frequently asked questions

Can we license the modules separately?

UNVPortal modules can be licensed separately: Labs, Exams and Quality each work on their own. When used together, unit, staff and permission definitions are read from a single database, so the same information is not entered twice.

Where is the data held?

UNVPortal data is held either in a cloud deployment managed by Erimworks or on the institution's own server, as the institution prefers. Each institution's data is isolated as a separate tenant record.

Does it talk to our existing student information system?

UNVPortal's connections to identity providers, student information systems, document management and HR systems will be set up through the UNVPortal Connect module. Because Connect is still in preparation, connections in current deployments are configured one by one. Tell us which systems you use and we can define the scope.

How does pricing work?

UNVPortal pricing follows an enterprise licence model; it is quoted based on the number of users and the selected modules. For a quote and a live demo, write to contact@erimworks.com.

Is a trial deployment possible?

A trial deployment of UNVPortal is possible. After the demo, a deployment with sample data is opened for your institution and access is set up for authorised users.

Deployment and licensing

It is enough to contact us with your institution's name, the expected number of users and the modules you are interested in; your enquiry is answered with proposed times for a live demo.
